• The unload zone and Event parking for trucks and trailers will be at the corner of Span and Pennsylvania St., directly behind Lott Veterinary Office. You can park and unload in this lot and ride your golf cart to registration or to the downtown brew stops. Remember to start lining up for the ride at 6:15p.m. Riders that are walking – there is parking all around the downtown area that will be available. Keep in mind roads will be closing early.
• Arrive early to allow plenty of time to get in line and make any last minute adjustments to your bike, golf cart or side-by-side!
• The parade route is right under 2 miles. If you get tired, feel free to stop at the downtown brew stops. But, don’t forget to fly back to Miller Quarters for the block party which starts immediately following the ride!
• There will be a costume contest for best individual witch, best coven of witches (10 witches max for groups), best bicycle and best cart! Get festive!
• Secure your hat under your chin with a themed ribbon to match your attire. Think of a bonnet. Flying witches sometimes have difficulties keeping their hats in place!
• Keep your witches attire above the wheels. We don’t want any spooky attire getting caught in your broom-cart or broom-cycle!
• Parade throws are encouraged!
• Have a bag, pouch or basket easily accessible to grab and throw candy!
• Light up your ride! It is getting darker earlier. When planning bicycle or cart decor, consider glow sticks or battery powered light strands to ensure you are visible!
• The block party will include complimentary jambalaya but there will be a cash bar and several additional food and retail vendors present as well. Make sure to have CASH on hand to enjoy all the festive offerings!
• No outside alcohol is allowed inside the block party.
