Thank you to all the Wonderful Witches and Sponsors that helped to make our 2024 event a success! Due to the overwhelming support by many, Witches Ride Minden and Pearls of Purpose, Inc. was able to deliver 407 books to Webster Parish 1st graders just in time for Christmas! We were also honored to have Peyton Gulley, a former Minden, LA resident and author of the chosen book, “Stella and the Dino’s.. Alive in Space!” accompany our team to read and offer an entertaining experience for 160 students at one school and 48 students at another.
Then, just a few weeks later, due to generous hearts, the committee was able to get more books delivered and was very excited to announce that 111 Claiborne Parish 1st graders received a book just after Christmas Break!!

The 2024 Event raised enough money to have a second Philanthropy- CASA, or Court Appointed Special Advocates. These are specially trained volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children who are attending court hearings, adjusting to new foster homes and transitioning to new schools. Witches Ride Minden and Pearls of Purpose, Inc. was able to present a check for $8,000 to Webster Parish CASA- Court Appointed Special Advocates, to assist and provide Christmas Gifts and Birthday Parties to our local children.
